A Little About Me: I discovered Harry Potter in quite an unusual way. My mother had bought the first 3 books for my younger brother one year for Christmas. One day while I was bored, I took the first book and began to read. Ever since then I've been hooked in an almost dangerous way. Seriously. It's like some sort of hallucinogenic drug. If I don't get my daily dose of Harry Potter, I start having withdrawal symptoms. Anyhoo, when it comes to Harry Potter websites, you could say that I've been around. I first started out UKHP, then went to Phoenix Euphoria, back to UKHP, and then over to Hogwarts Extreme, which has been my home away from home for the past 6 years.

When it comes to Harry Potter, some people say that I take it to the extreme which is probably why I'm the head of research. I love researching the world of Harry Potter and I'm always coming up with new theories on what the Harry Potter world could be like, and on what is to come. Of course, 99% of my stuff is just for my enjoyment of thought, since most of it is incorrect, pointless and/or way out there (such as "Has Hermione gotten her driver's license?"), but it's still fun, nonetheless. Of course, it's obvious that I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter Lexicon, and I applaud the writers over there as their work is truly superb.

I'm a perfectionist in the worst way, especially when it comes to spelling. If something is misspelled, I *have* to correct it, especially if the mistake is mine. For grammar, I'm a tad more relaxed (for example: I don't care if you begin sentences with conjunctions or end them in prepositional phrases), but I still like to keep the grammar bar pretty high. Slang and myself strongly dislike each other, thus I'm sort of ignorant when it comes to the correct usage of slang. Although I like to use correct grammar and spelling when I write something to be shown publically, between friends and on message boards, I use the phrase "lol" more than any human should, and it has been suggested that I'm actually a computer who auto-responds with that message. Ah well, just one of my little idiosyncrasies. If you want to know something else about me, just ask, and I'll likely tell you.

A Little About Me: I never would have thought that I�d be such a Potterhead like I am now. Christmas of my freshman year in high school my aunt gave me Harry Potter and The Philosopher�s Stone because she was in love with the series. I didn�t actually think to read the book until the summer after that. I read it in a few hours because I became so hooked. After that, I spent the summer searching for paperbacks (that I could afford) to read the other three books that were out. I joined Hogwarts Extreme in June of that summer (I actually discovered the site on a dance forum), and have been there for four years now.

I am absolutely convinced that J.K. Rowling has been to Hogwarts Extreme before. Call me crazy, but I am quite well known as the �Tutu Queen� on HEX, and even made the tutu an item. (Quite a popular one too... haha.) I�ve been a dancer since I was three, and absolutely love ballet, so that�s where I got it from. The item was not HP related so it was going to be removed from the site before HP and the Half Blood Prince came out, but JK put tutus into the book, and one is even on a chapter illustration! Maybe it is just a coincidence, but I�ll tell myself it isn�t.

I got interested in graphic design a few years ago, from other HEX members, so I dabbled with Photoshop for a while, and eventually things started to look cool. I don�t have any formal training, but I�ve figured out a thing or two. I really enjoy making graphics and I�m thrilled that I was asked to design TGW. so once upon a time, i was the first in my grade to be able to read. then my mother tried to make me read horrible and boring books like Little House on the Prairie which made me want to cry. So i stopped reading and everyone thought i sucked at it. THEN, my grandma gave me the first harry potter book for my bday. i loved it and started reading lots of good books and i was like "HA MOM it was your fault i never read cause you made me read stupid books". The end.

but not really the end. I'm also deeply inlove with skiing and racing GS and slalom. it's the best. Soccer is also amazing. If you think otherwise you need a kick in the head. i also have taught myself some stuff with Flash but not that amazing at it.

A Little About Me: I first heard of Harry Potter on the Rosie O'Donnell show. I used to watch it with my mother, and I remember she was recommending the Philosopher's Stone. Seeing her excitement about the series, I decided to beg my mother to get me a copy. It wasn't necessary - she wanted it too. I'm sure it was around the time it was published, because I was the right age range (11/12) and I got sucked into Hogwarts. Oh, I wanted so badly to get my owl.

I was hooked both to Harry Potter and the internet, so I combined the two loves. I joined many sites relating to HP, including some MOOs and MUDs. I've always loved writing, so roleplay came naturally to me. I found HEX years ago, but somehow I always checked the website when the signups were closed. It took me until 2005 to finally join, but it was worth the wait.

Not related to HP - I am living with my boyfriend of almost 4 years. I have two cats, Psyko and Bodhi and a rabbit named Nyx. I love animals, crafts, art, walks, literature, kindness and intelligence, movies, music and things that go against the norm. I'm quite morbid. A Little About Me: Harry Potter and I introduced ourselves over a gift card to a bookstore that was going out of business and had nothing left in stock but a crate of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer�s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I bought them both, begrudgingly at the time, and left them sitting in my apartment for weeks before I took them down and started reading them. The next day is just a blur because I don�t think I slept until well after I had finished reading CoS. I immediately went on-line and found out that there were two more books out and I had to have them right that moment. My then boyfriend could not be persuaded to go to the store for me, so I ended up ordering them from a one hour on-line delivery place along with a box of Krispy Kremes and some Diet Coke to keep me up for awhile. That night I passed out with PoA on my lap, sugar on my fingers and quite a stomachache, but it didn�t matter � I was officially hooked.

It took me a few years and two more HP Books to find HEX, but it was love at first click for me. As an adult reader with no kids, it has been harder for me to find people that enjoyed all aspects of the world created by JK Rowling, so HEX was a wonderful discovery for me.

I also enjoy writing and I have a novel that is about three quarters done. I have an obsession with making sure that things are done right the first time around and will often ask a million questions to ensure that I understand every aspect of it. I am a tangential thinker and love to find the strange and/or esoteric connections that present themselves throughout life. I have a dog named Star (who I love like my child in a dog suit that she is) and a huge family that is scattered all over the United States.

A Little About Me: I honestly cannot remember when I first actually heard of Harry Potter or when I first became interested in it, but I know that I first had the book read to me in second grade, but my teacher. It was the cool thing back then and during recess, we would all role-play Harry Potter with horrible mispronunciations. We finished the Sorcerer's Stone within the last week of school, and by then, I was hooked. I read the next three books in third grade, and I slowly became more and more interested in the books. Since then, I've read each book eat least four times and Prisoner of Azkaban (my favorite) at least eight times, but I lost count ages ago.

I've been a hexer for almost four years and the page is now my homepage. I spend a lot of my free time on there, but otherwise, I like to read and write. I used to write mainly fanfiction, but now I'm working on original stories. I recently started a novel, which I'm hoping to be done with by the end of the year.

A Little About Me: I'm a freedom-loving, generous and mischievous person. A Little About Me: Ahhh, where to begin... Let's see, I'm a college student majoring in archaeology and culture of the ancient near east, and classics. I read New Testament Greek, which I am totally smitten with. I'm a total graecophile (that means I'm in love with all things Greek <3). I study classical literature, philosophy, languages (although Latin is not nearly as cool as Greek), and history.

I don't remember when I first heard about Harry Potter. All I know is that I used to read them at my sister's soccer games when I was 11 years old (Harry and I were the same age, then). I read each one as they came out and there was a period of about a month during each book or movie release where I was obsessed and then I totally forgot about it again until the next one. However, when a freshman moved onto my floor again this year she rekindled my obsession and it's been non-stop ever since . I quickly found HEX and have been addicted ever since.

A Little About Me: Well I always you to tease people who read Harry Potter. I hated it big time. Then my first year of high school we had to pick a book and read it and write a report on it. My friend goes read Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone because it�s the shortest book were allowed to choose for the report. So I went and bought it.

A Little About Me: My mom first showed me the Sorcerer's Stone before all the hype started. I loved it instantly, and have spent my years since then thinking "maybe my owl just got lost..." I am the same age as the trio, and am Hermione in looks and attitude.

I wasn't much of a geek for Harry Potter until two years ago, and I don't know why I'm suddenly into it. But here I am. I am huge on trivia, and even wrote my term paper last year on Harry Potter and how his world is so connected to ours.

A Little About Me: I'm a student at Arizona Western College. Part of my time is spent with homework and studying, the other part is spent taking care of my 2-year old son, Tim. I've been addicted to Harry Potter for several years now, since around the time the third book came out. We lived in England at the time, and my dad's ex-wife took me to a store to get a book. She mentioned that she had heard Harry Potter books were really good, so I grabbed Prisoner of Azkaban and bought it. The next day I began reading it on a train to Scotland. From the time I read the first page, I couldn't take my eyes off the book. It was unlike anything I had read before. I went back and got the first two books to see how the series started, and have bought, read, and re-read the other books countless times since then.
